Picturesque Hanoi is one of the most dreamt about travel locations
The visual social network Pinterest on Tuesday released a list of the most-pinned locations of all time.
Hanoi, a thousand-year-old city with plenty of sights for photo opportunities, is the third most popular destinations worldwide.

The capital city, where life rushes through its old and beautiful streets and buildings, is one of two Asian cities making the list. Japan's Kyoto is ranked 7th.

The network published the list to promote a new feature designed to automatically add directions, phone numbers and customer reviews to its 7 billion travel-related pins.
Hanoi has become a highly recommended tourism destination lately.
TripAdvisor earlier this year suggested Hanoi as the most affordable international destination in its annual TripIndex report, which looked into 60 key tourist cities around the world.
The leading travel review site said travelers on a budget should consider Hanoi where a three night-stay only costs around US$732 a couple or $366 a person.
Lonely Planet a few months ago named Hanoi's Old Quarter among places to see at least once in a lifetime.
Airport-review website www.sleepinginairports.net recently also ranked Hanoi's international airport Noi Bai among the Top 30 Best Airports in Asia, after gathering ratings from travelers regarding factors such as services and facilities, terminal cleanliness, customer service and comfort.
