Immerse yourself in the natural beauty and the rich culture of Mekong Delta region and spend time to explore the local floating market at its nicest time and most exciting of the day. Enjoy the atmosphere, the calm and quietness of the nature of the wetland forest and have a homestay experience with the locals.
DAY 1: HO CHI MINH - MY THO - BEN TRE - CHAU DOC (L)
Leave Ho Chi Minh City and enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields (seasonally). On arrival at My Tho, visit the Vinh Trang pagoda, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, view stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise islet to have lunch in the orchard garden. Then take a boat ride to An Khanh – a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre. Enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shade of water coconut trees along natural canals, then enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of "Southern Vietnamese folk music", performed by the locals. Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste delicious coconut candy & observe the pastoral life as you roam through the fruit plantations and villages. Proceed towards Can Tho. Overnight in the hotel (family home-stay with dinner can be arranged on request). Free time to visit the bustling Can Tho market.
Option 1: Stay in a hotel in Can Tho
Check into your hotel on arrival at Can Tho. Free to explore the city on your own in the evening. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Can Tho.
Option 2: Homestay (D)
Transfer by motor boat to a small village in Cai Rang district. Check into your riverside cottage. In the afternoon, go cycling or trekking around the village to experience the rural lifestyle of the Mekong Delta people. Time to self-cooked dinner and enjoy it together with the local host. Enjoy an evening of traditional folk music with your neighbors. Overnight in your riverside cottage.
DAY 2: CAN THO - CHAU DOC - TRA SU SANCTUARY (B, L)
Taking a very early morning boat trip (5:30am usually recommended) to visit the Cai Rang floating market which is wholesale market of fruit and vegetable at its busiest at this time of the day. Keep cruising through the small channels system and visit a rice noodle making village. Experience the “Monkey Bridge” in the Delta. Head towards Phong Dien for the smaller, quieter floating market (optional for private tour). Break for lunch. Proceed to Chau Doc and continue the tour to visit Tra Su - This nature reserve covers a massive area that is home to the rich and diverse species of water birds, fishes, reptiles, bats and some endangered species. The lush vegetation, florals and fauna in abundance created an amazing haven for wildlife. Taking a motorized boat followed by a rowing boat deep into the forest through the lovely channel of waterways, a short walk to the observation tower to enjoy the panoramic view or the area. Back to the town, on the way back stop by to visit Sam Mountain, the Cave pagoda (if time permitted). Hotel check in. Overnight in Chau Doc.
DAY 3: CHAU DOC - HO CHI MINH CITY (B, L)
After breakfast, take a nice boat trip through the floating village to visit a fish farm to see how the Mekong Delta people raise fish in their floating houses. Visit the Cham minority with their traditional weaving village, followed by a local Islamic Mosque. Trip back to Ho Chi Minh City. End at the office or your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

3. IF I PURCHASE A PACKAGES, CAN I TRAVEL IN REVERSE DIRECTION?
Yes, our packages are made up on individual travel vouchers, which can be use in any order. You may want to travel our intineraries in reverse or you may want to complete your package over a number of short trip.
4. DO YOU OFFER LONGER OR MORE CUSTOMIZE TOUR?
Yes, you can ask for longer or customize with any tours. If you have any request or questions please do not hesitate to contact us via email address: info@amitysmiletravel.com, our travel experts will help you decides which is best itinerary for you.
5. I HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS – WILL THEY BE CATERED FOR?
We will try our best to accommodate all dietary requirements but in some out-of-the-way places it can be very difficult to guarantee. We will let you know if there are places on your itinerary where this is the case. Please let us know at the time of booking of any food requirements or allergies and we will pass the information onto your leader. It is also a great idea to bring a card with your dietary requirements written in local language for those time you are eating away from the group.
6. WHAT IS THE CURRENCY IN MY DESTINATION?
It is a good idea to travel with a credit card and ATM card. In Vietnam, the US Dollars and Euros are more widely accepted than other currencies (off course, out of VN Dong). However, in some cases, at some hotels they can accept your local currency but not very much.
7. WHAT STANDARD OF ACCOMMODATION SHOULD I EXPECT?

After you make an online booking, we will follow up with you to confirm availability and confirm the booking. Your reservation is not confirmed until receive this follow up email or fax.
11. CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO THE ITINERARY OF MY GROUP TRIP, EITHER BEFORE OR DURING THE TRIP?
Please make sure that you are happy with your group trip itinerary before booking because we are unable to change them for individual travelers. However, if you and a group of friends, colleagues,…would like your own personally designed itinerary, get in touch with our travel consultants, they can tailor an itinerary just for you.
12.IN CASE OF EMERGENCY ON TOUR, WHO WILL I CONTACT?
When on tour, your tour guide is the first person of contact. We have our own hotline, so emergency assistance is available 24hours per day. Please see the office contact details listed on your itinerary or on your voucher.
13. I AM NOT READY TO BOOK RIGHT NOW, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
For flights, you can make a booking and then we can hold the booking for a limited period of time until you are ready to purchase and issue the ticket. When you make a booking, we will inform you of the amount of time until the ticket must be issued since this time frame varies by airline.
For hotels, in order to make a booking and hold a room, you must confirm and pay immediately. Unfortunately, we cannot hold a hotel booking for you without payment.
For tours, as tours are related to hotels booking. We will need you 30% for Deposit. This amount is to cover our costs if you cancel the tour. Almost is for cancellation charges of hotels/resorts.
